So Smugmug has announced that it’s removing the 1Tb of storage from the Flickr free tier users and imposing a limit of 1,000 photographs.
So having been a user of Flickr for more than 10 years I’m left with a dilemma of where to upload my photos in the future. Flickr Pro is too expensive for me to justify. OK I could just use Facebook but it’s not the same audience, Flickr was great not just for showing off my meagre amateur photography skills but a great place to look at and learn from talented amateur photographers.
Maybe I’ll host my best photographs on my own webspace but this doesn’t make it easy for other people to see and comment on them.
If anyone out there has any suggestions please let me know.
